Brazilian games excel in the industry and are successful at BIG 2022

We already know that the Brazilian games market has been growing significantly in recent years, with the release of fun and high-quality products that attract the interest of gamers from all over the world. This year was no exception, and the Brazilian industry continued to surprise positively. Proof of this was the expressive number of Brazilian games submitted to the BIG Festival 2022, which prepared a special program with games of the most diverse styles and genres.

Through Panorama Brazil, a non-competitive showcase of Brazilian games, BIG Festival presented 30 games from local developers, which were tested for free by the attending public. “Panorama Brasil is always very important and highly celebrated by BIG Festival fans. The idea of the showcase is precisely to value the Brazilian game industry with games that have all the potential to please those who had the chance to test them,” said Gustavo Steinberg, director of BIG Festival.

Brazil was also in evidence in the awarding ceremony of the best games at BIG Festival. There were 21 competitive categories, including Best Game: Brazil, which was presented to No Place For Bravery, by Glitch Factory. The game, a 2D action RPG, tells the story of Thorn, an old warrior in search of his lost daughter. The game is available on the Steam platform and Nintendo Switch.

The Brazilian games also attracted attention in other categories. Besides the success among the festival attendees, Brazil’s presence among the award winners and its strong participation in the event as a whole showed that the country is consolidating itself as one of the most important hubs in the games industry.
